Ask yourself what is the world to me,
Is it just an ordinary place to be?
Think of the many places you haven’t seen,
Or even the wonderful ones that you have been.
Life is not just a day by day thing,
Or as meaningless as a summer fling,
With over millions of human beings,
Earth is the place your life is in.
Sometimes it’s not easy to let go,
Other times it’s just our ego,
Trying to be everyone’s hero,
Will burn you like a disc on Nero.
Make life as beautiful as the sunset,
Don’t wait for moments of regret,
Be thankful for all you have and accept,
That without you this world wouldn’t be perfect.
It’s priceless and can’t be bought by a dime,
So be careful and don’t commit a crime,
Don’t choose by race, nationality or tribe,
Because in the end all that counts is the smile,
That brings out the inner beauty from a mile,
Not for long but for a while,
I'll keep the memory of your smile,
In my heart in a secret file.
It’s not about the money or the people,
Driving around in your sexy limo,
Wearing the elegant tuxedo.
It’s more about meeting special people,
Those that make life feel as though you’re in that limo,
And looking like you own it in that tuxedo.
Listen, Materialistic luxuries will cost,
Like a simple polo shirt from Lacoste,
And for these you’ll be a good host,
But even when you want to boast,
In the end you’ll feel hollow-you’ll feel lost.
Make a choice and pick your preference,
Be a good example and become peoples reference,
Enter a room and fill it with love & joy coz of your presence.
And when it’s not shining in someone’s world let it be coz of your absence,
Know the real deal and life’s real essence.
