Muziki

Listen to the music and let the beat
Be the sound that makes life so neat
Dance to it, get the rush and feel the heat
Such an amazing feeling, it is so sweet!

Bump your head to the beat, then some krumping
Music like crunk gives you the feeling of no stopping
Get on the floor, show them how it’s done and start stomping
Express yourself, go ahead pop, lock and drop it.

Let’s go hip hop, the hippy to the pop hop
Then jump, change it and don’t let it stop.

It’s not about you or me or our different tribes,
It’s about you and me using music to feel the vibe.

From the 70’s came a dance called break,
Nothing sexy like the Caribbean shake,
But music and dancing is what you make
Of a personal expression and it’s yours to take.

Ease your stress, let loose and stop whining,
Get on the floor, get with it and start dutty winin’
From the Caribbean island of Jamaica came a reggae theme,
Jumping up and down became the new thing
Then came days we switched it up and brought in ragga,
Dancehall moves then became the new swagger.

Remember when we all were Gully creeping,
Then Serani pulled through the new style of skipping
Sexy moves all over the place, everyone’s grinding,
Music brings us all out no shame, no hiding.

Music is global; from hip hop, genge to kwaito,
Go ahead and mingle through the argentine tango,
Let the rhythm flow through then just let go,
Like some punk, all you got to do is the pogo.

Techno, house all through to trance
Listen to Stromae and Kanye rapping Alors on danse
Make music your love, your new romance
You will only know if you give it a chance

Ever since I was born and through my upbringing,
I loved music coz it gave me an orgasmic feeling,
Such an amazing rush as though my head is spinning
So to this day, I’m with my music and that’ll keep me smiling
Even in church we worship through prayers and singing
Thing with music is that you choose what you prefer hearing
What you pick is unique and is worth sharing

I am me
Through music that lets me be
Expressing emotions and how I feel
Layer by layer I take to peel
Till I reach my inner core in which no one can see
It’s so rich and it’s nothing that you have to steal
It’s free, soothing and perfect to heal.
